STEVENSONS AT THE SUPREME COURT OF CANADA
Stevensons’ lawyers Maureen Whelton and Richard Macklin recently appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada in Penner v. Regional Municipality of Niagara Regional Police Services Board. Maureen made submissions on behalf of the intervener Urban Alliance on Race Relations in support of police accountability and access to the courts for victims of police misconduct. The Court is expected to release its decision in the coming months.
