Richard was called to the Bar in 1993 and has extensive experience in a broad range of litigation cases including; contract, shareholders, real estate, employment, construction and other disputes.  Richard has also developed considerable experience in government litigation including: coroner’s inquests, licencing, general administrative and constiutional law.  In addition to extensive trial experience, Richard appears regularly in appeal courts and has acted on numerous landmark cases at the Supreme Court of Canada and Court of Appeal for Ontario. Richard graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School.

His wide-ranging experience has been recognized by the Law Society of Upper Canada who, in September 2009, granted Richard the designation of Certified Specialist (Civil Litigation).
Another distinguishing feature of Richard’s practice is that he serves as an adjudicator with the Ontario Licence Appeal Tribunal and as one of the independent legal counsel that give “real time” advice to adjudicators at the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.  This part of Richard’s practice provides him with valuable insight into how disputes are viewed from an adjudicator’s perspective.  He is then able to put that insight to use in marshalling his client’s cases when he acts as their lawyer.
Richard is also a frequent writer and presenter on legal issues.
Richard’s current clients include “blue chip” real estate companies, private, publicly traded and not-for-profit corporations, the Corporation of the City of Vaughan, an Office of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario (the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth), amongst others.
Richard believes that experience is only part of the equation and that the most important part of his practice is his unflinching dedication to client service.
